Christmas in July 2011

We had a great day, around 50 happy souls, lots of terriffic food, good company a lovely Christmas Tree and music.   And, we were even able to see some sunshine.   Great to have Margaret Larnock with us for the day.

As promised, here is Jenny's Brandy Cream Sauce Recipe

Jenny's Brandy Cream Sauce

¾ cup of brandy (or rum!!)

¼ cup sugar

2 egg yolks

½ pint cream (300 ml)

Combine brandy and sugar and allow to stand until sugar has dissolved completely.   

Beat egg yolks very well, add slowly to brandy mixture.   Stand for one hour.   Whip cream and fold in egg mixture.. Refrigerate - or freeze (I often do)

Good for Christmas Pudding or with strawberries or other fruit.
